We often want the best for our children. We shower them with praises when there isn’t a need for certain moments. We cherish their every step, voicing new discoveries and speak highly to our friends and family about them. We even take control of every facet of their lives; plan their future in essence to create an extension of ourselves. For better or for worst.

Periluss Simms grew up in New Sweden from the union of Hayden & Krishna Simms. His father was a prominent businessman, his mother was a influential scientist of the newly formed WISK. They moved to the NAF territories when Periluss was 5yrs old as their careers flourish their son’s pain went unnoticed.

For the Simms Family, their goal in life was to acquire more wealth and influence among the elite. Anything else was beneath them regarding normal life as a waste. They, in their own mind, created their son and molded him in a manner for brilliance and ego per mighty (a saying that only the brightest shall lead). Parenthood is so demanding to teach children to have a soul instead of creating one while living.

“People in general are getting too nosy-too much thinking.”

Periluss Simms, a prominent member of Midwest City Police Department, took control over the elite underground police, Ghost Squad, as his alter-ego, ‘BloodOath’, when Police Chief James Tinsworth’s death was blamed on the infamous Gangland. Simms’ also ran a media war between Gangland and MCPD as leader of the ‘after-hours’ police unit. The citizens were once again duped in believing the core of Midwest City’s finest were trying to halt crime but really was working together with Gangland.

BloodOath was now a heartless brute who loved issuing pain to anyone he considered weak. He’s a mountain of a man, with the strength of ten, a master of hand-to-hand combat, and he’s efficient with weaponry from his training as a solider in NAF’s paramilitary army. He in fact, turned into the person who he hated when he was a child. Amazing how time comes full circle, and in this case it caused a entire city to burn.

Sometimes the essence of a villain is never define by the crimes he or she commits but from lack of empathy from the aftermath of committing them.   One could look at the where they came from and how they made it to this junction in their lives.  What or who did they cherish in their lives before becoming a horrid adaptation of themselves.  In the case of Periluss, upbringing is everything and anything to his caretakers who had forgone the title of parents.  We as a society speak very loudly against bullies, but in essence we adore their behavior as being “tough.”  In a sense of holding toward conflicting viewpoints the bully is shunned while their actions are admired.  A Stockholm syndrome you might want to say.  Brainwashing in the form of covered conditioning of love and family to vice and proper.   I will leave you with this passage that might answer what you are thinking or at least create a new thought that was never given credence before..

“You sit here, so weak—so disgusting,” spoke Simms in an acid tone. “You’re breaking down over a job, one job—You silly little creature. I carried you, I made you finish school, and I fucked you til’ you felt good about your miserable self. You dare answer me in defiance—Fuck You!”
